St. Petersburg, Russia, Wednesday Evening, July 25, 2012

St Petersburg is called the Venice of the North. This is why.

Nevsky Prospect (street). It is equivalent to New Yorks 5th Avenue.

Church of the Spilled Blood. Now a museum.

Kazanzkiy Cathedral. The oldest and largest in St. Petersburg.
We walked for a couple of hours in the vicinity of our hotel. It was a beautiful night. Unlike Australia and New Zealand where it was dark by 6:00 PM, it stays light her until late. How late? I am not sure. It is still light at 11:30 PM.
